3/5 for this one。Four impactable agreements he stated are all logically raw and could be absorbed in-depths with careful thoughts。 But, I think as most of the reviewers said, it’s too juvenile than it supposed to be as a self-help book, and I do agree with them。

Gran libro, pone a reflexionar y realmente te hace ver el mundo de diferente y manera。

An excellent readThis book came at the perfect time。 I truly learned a lot from this book and found myself already shifting the way I was programmed to think and react。 Thank you Don Miguel Ruiz for the enlightenment。

This book is so simple yet so practical。 I will more than likely be revisiting this book again in the future。

This is a really good and insightful book that will have instant impact on anyone's life。 The author pulls out your inner wisdom and does not try to think for you considering that we are all different。 This is a really good and insightful book that will have instant impact on anyone's life。 The author pulls out your inner wisdom and does not try to think for you considering that we are all different。 。。。more

I liked some aspects of what he was saying but overall I did not vibe with this book。 Too spiritual for me。

An important reminder that happiness is a choice。 The author reinforces the idea that our judgments of others are often a projection of our own insecurities。 All of the agreements are about loving ourselves so that we can be more at peace in the world and with others。 It reminded me of yoga class teachings and many other self-help books。 It is rather poetic in writing style。 As all self-help ideas, they seem simple but are difficult to execute。 I think reading these kinds of books are good for p An important reminder that happiness is a choice。 The author reinforces the idea that our judgments of others are often a projection of our own insecurities。 All of the agreements are about loving ourselves so that we can be more at peace in the world and with others。 It reminded me of yoga class teachings and many other self-help books。 It is rather poetic in writing style。 As all self-help ideas, they seem simple but are difficult to execute。 I think reading these kinds of books are good for practicing inner peace even though they seem a bit repetitive。 It's all a work in progress。 。。。more

This book made me a little angry。 For trying to help people it is blame-heavy。 The lessons are helpful and I want to use them in my own life。 However, the information in each chapter is lacking and contradictory。 One chapter he says don't make assumptions then the next chapter he is making the assumption that everyone hates their work and only works for the money reward。 One of his examples includes a wife wrongly assuming her husband can read her mind。 I get it, you're a human too Don Ruiz, but This book made me a little angry。 For trying to help people it is blame-heavy。 The lessons are helpful and I want to use them in my own life。 However, the information in each chapter is lacking and contradictory。 One chapter he says don't make assumptions then the next chapter he is making the assumption that everyone hates their work and only works for the money reward。 One of his examples includes a wife wrongly assuming her husband can read her mind。 I get it, you're a human too Don Ruiz, but ya also could've edited this or thought this book through a lot better。 。。。more

Was gifted this book for my wedding。 It is a wonderful book to reread for enlightenment as well as to gift to others。 I have read many of Miguel Ruiz books and enjoy his writing style and philosophical approach to relationships。

This book is a pretty great first step into letting go of societal rules that have been placed on us since birth。 Learn to look at the world like a child again。 Speak wellness, reject negativity, hope for the best, and surround yourself with the good。 The book also finally drove the point of 'forgiving other people' into my head。 When you are holding a grudge against someone you are giving them power to rule over your mind and allow them to keep a negative space inside your thoughts。 When you fo This book is a pretty great first step into letting go of societal rules that have been placed on us since birth。 Learn to look at the world like a child again。 Speak wellness, reject negativity, hope for the best, and surround yourself with the good。 The book also finally drove the point of 'forgiving other people' into my head。 When you are holding a grudge against someone you are giving them power to rule over your mind and allow them to keep a negative space inside your thoughts。 When you forgive them you regain your peace。 Short and simple book you can read over to interpret a new meaning。 。。。more

Amazing how we can be programmed to be fearful and self-limiting。 This book really makes you question your value system and self-agreements。 I loved it! Definitely a great addition to my mind-space。

Maybe this book is useful? But it’s also super problematic。 Case in point: “If you have the need to be abused, you will find it easy to be abused by others。 Likewise, if you are with people who need to suffer, something in you makes you abuse them。”Yeah, it’s a no for me。 Just get the basic points of the book from someone else, cause the endless explanations of each agreement are problematic af。

Es un libro de desarrollo personal, que te explica y te ayuda desde un punto en el cual divide en unas reglas muy fáciles, también ocupa ejemplos de los toltecas。

The agreements themselves are gold。 However, there were many parts in the book that were repetitive。 Some words or sentences need to be updated, removed, or rephrased better。 Examples: white magic v。 black magic, parasite, sin, etc。 I got the sense that it was whitewashed considering this book is based on Toltec wisdom, a Native American way of life。 There were some passages that spoke of Christianity and overemphasized the separation of good and evil instead of understanding what and how both c The agreements themselves are gold。 However, there were many parts in the book that were repetitive。 Some words or sentences need to be updated, removed, or rephrased better。 Examples: white magic v。 black magic, parasite, sin, etc。 I got the sense that it was whitewashed considering this book is based on Toltec wisdom, a Native American way of life。 There were some passages that spoke of Christianity and overemphasized the separation of good and evil instead of understanding what and how both came to be, which I suspected has nothing to do with Toltec wisdom。 When I came across the topic of the parasite in the mind, I immediately thought of Pema Chodron’s Feeding Your Demons book。 Her book was far more insightful, applicable, and useful compared to Ruiz’s。 。。。more

I agree with the premise of this book, but it didn't do a whole lot for me。 I was actually a little bored while reading it。 Luckily it's a quick read, but I wouldn't say I learned a lot of valuable lessons from it。 I agree with the premise of this book, but it didn't do a whole lot for me。 I was actually a little bored while reading it。 Luckily it's a quick read, but I wouldn't say I learned a lot of valuable lessons from it。 。。。more
